On October 20, 2022, NEWSMAX reporter Lara Logan was let go after going on a Q-Anon rampage and screaming several conspiracy ideas.
Prior to joining Fox Nation, Logan was a CBS and 60 Minutes news correspondent.
Who is Lara Logan?
South African international news reporter Lara Logan covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
She earned her undergraduate degree in South Africa and held part-time jobs as a swimsuit model and newspaper reporter.
She began her career in the early 1990s working for Reuters Television in Africa before relocating to London in 1996 to work for CNN.
While she was in Amman, Jordan during the Baghdad War, her career began to take a turn for the worse.
Logan, a teenage reporter, was asked by CBS to leave the country due to safety concerns as the bombing was in progress.
She begged to be allowed to accompany a convoy of French reporters being deployed to Baghdad because she was desperate to get back home.
2014’s New York Magazine quoted Laura Haim, a French TV journalist, as saying “She contacted me multiple times, pleading to come with us.”
Even though the 31-year-old reporter allegedly kept asking to go, Haim claims she told her “no way.”
But only a few days later, when bombs fell on Baghdad, Haim recalled being startled to find Logan standing in the foyer of the Palestine Hotel, proclaiming, “Look, I made it!”
Logan was the lone American reporter in the nation when the conflict started after being smuggled across the border by two Iraqis.
Haim told the newspaper, “I was genuinely amazed by her courage. “It wasn’t nonsense. She was quite motivated to take action to gain notoriety.
How did Lara Logan’s career disintegrate?
Her career was launched by the action, which led to her being hired as a correspondent for 60 Minutes. Three years later, however, her career took a severe turn due to a wholly false report from an unreliable source.
Logan was approached by a man who introduced himself as Morgan Jones and claimed to have firsthand knowledge of the Benghazi attack.
Jones, whose true name is Dylan Davies, worked for Blue Mountain Security and is said to have told the tale to promote his book.
The credibility of 60 Minutes was damaged when it was revealed that the narrative was entirely fabricated, and Logan stopped appearing on the show.
Soon after, she was hired as a host at Fox Nation, where she became into a vocal opponent of the so-called liberal agenda.
Her reputation started to suffer in 2021 when she was hosting this programme since she linked Dr. Anthony Fauci to Nazi physician Josef Mengele, who performed experimentation on Jews in incarceration camps.
“People tell me that Dr. Fauci doesn’t represent science to them based on what you see on him. He stands in for Josef Mengele, she declared live on TV.
“And I am talking about people all across the world are saying this, because the response from Covid, what it has done to countries everywhere, what it has done to civil liberties, the suicide rates, the poverty, it has obliterated economies.”
The American Jewish Committee tweeted, “Utterly terrible,” in reaction to Logan’s remarks. Josef Mengele gained his moniker by conducting cruel medical experiments on Holocaust victims, especially children.
“@LaraLogan, there is no comparing the hell these victims went through to public health measures. An apology is needed.”
Logan left Fox Nation after making her on-air remarks, but the news source made no mention of her departure.
Oliver Darcy, a CNN correspondent, sent the following in a newsletter: “Has Fox News quietly benched Lara Logan? All signs point to yes.
“Fox isn’t commenting on the topic, but Logan was a mainstay on the network before that Monday appearance,” he continued. She has since vanished.
When Logan downplayed the Capitol riots on January 6 and claimed that “this is now the crime of the century,” his credibility was further questioned.
Why was she banned from Newsmax?
After contributing during a part of Eric Bolling’s Newsmax show that aired on October 20, Logan was expelled from the programme.
During the segment, Logan said the United Nations was planning a “global cabal” to “dilute the pool of patriots” in the United States with “100million illegal immigrants.”
She spouted QAnon theories, saying the immigration plan is an effort to “incite violence” from the right.
“Incite people to act that will prove the lie of white terrorism and white supremacy in America today and give them an excuse to crack down. They need a Reichstag fire.”
