Who is Joseph Price? Robert Wone’s murder suspect

Robert Wone made friends with Joseph Price, a fellow law student, while they were both students at The College of William & Mary.

Price was in his senior year of college at the time and was due to receive a public policy degree from the institution.

Wone and Price participated in several extracurricular activities together.

They both participated in the student government and the school’s honour society.

Price started his studies at the University of Virginia’s law school as soon as he received his diploma.

He maintained his friendship with Wone during his years after finishing school.

In addition, Price had a reputation for championing causes that affected the LGBTQ community.

Additionally, he shared a polyamorous relationship with Dylan Ward, their third boyfriend, and his longtime partner Victor Zaborsky.

What happened to Robert Wone?

Robert Wone’s lifeless body was found at Price and Zaborsky’s residence in Washington, DC, late on August 2, 2006.

The late 32-year-old lawyer was declared dead the following morning.

His three fatal stab wounds were the cause of death, according to the reports.

Wone’s death was not connected to Price, Zaborsky, or Ward, according to their denials.

The three insisted it was an intruder who facilitated Wone’s demise.

Between October and November 2008, the three men were arrested in relation to their late friend’s homicide.

Price, Zaborsky, and Ward were charged with:

  • Evidence tampering
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Conspiracy to obstruct justice

On June 29, 2010, all three defendants were found not guilty of the charges brought against them.

Separately, Wone’s widow Katherine filed a separate lawsuit against the three for the wrongful death of her husband.

On August 3, 2011, the case was settled out of court as the parties came to an undisclosed agreement.

Wone’s death remains unsolved and his case eventually went cold.
