The Indianapolis Colts were unable to acquire running back Jonathan Taylor through a trade.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Colts were unable to find Taylor a “fair-value offer” before their deadline on Tuesday. Taylor won’t be able to play in at least the first four games in Indianapolis because he’ll likely start the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Since the Colts were unable to find a buyer for the running back before Tuesday at 3 p.m. CT for roster cuts, Taylor will continue to be listed as physically unable to perform. As a result, he will at the very least miss the first four games of the season, even if he is traded to another team.
