Former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins is thought to be in critical condition in the hospital after being attacked by three prisoners at HMP Wakefield on Saturday morning. Joanne Mjadzelics, the person who first alerted authorities to Watkins’ situation, asserts that she is “not surprised” that the musician was beaten while in custody.
Joanne Mjadzelics, who is she?
The 39-year-old ex-girlfriend of pedophile Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins is Joanne Mjadzelics. She is from Doncaster originally. She is reportedly a special constable, a mother of one, and a former sex trader.
Watkins’ peculiar sexual behavior near children was first brought to the authorities’ attention by former soldier Mjadzelics. Detectives, however, initially disregarded Mjadzelics’ worries. Watkins’ claims that she was a vengeful ex who was bothering him were corroborated by the police. In 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2012, she alerted social services and the police about Watkins’ child sex crimes.
According to Ms. Mjadzelics, “They did nothing.” “I feel like this marks the end of a long seven years of trying to get the police to do something about him.”
Mjadzelics was accused of disseminating pornographic images and satiating her ex-boyfriend’s sexual desires prior to Watkins’s imprisonment. She asserted, however, that she had merely continued to do so in order to compile evidence against Watkins. On the other hand, the prosecution contended that she was obsessed with him and would have done anything to appease him.
Four years later, the police thoroughly investigated Watkins and found that he was a dangerous and crafty pedophile who had engaged in a number of sex acts, including an attempted rape of an infant.
Joanne said, “I’m not surprised that someone got to him while he’s been inside jail,” after learning about Watkins’ attack. The fact that it took 10 years is the only surprise. He committed atrocities that went beyond evil. He makes me feel physically ill. In a facility like Wakefield Prison, he’s probably had a target on his back for a very long time.
