Because the Wyndham Championship was postponed due to weather, Justin Thomas will have to wait a little longer to find out if he enters the FedExCup top 70 and is inside the cutoff for the playoffs.
Only a few seconds had passed when Thomas completed his round with a wild final hole to finish 2-under par. Thomas remarked, “I’m kind of sore,” afterward. “I didn’t know if it was from my second shot or from falling to the ground.”
Jillian Wisniewski, who is she?
Thomas married Jillian Wisniewski in November 2022. After dating Wisniewski for five years, Thomas got down on one knee in November 2021. The golfer previously told PEOPLE in March 2022 that he would be more than happy to let Wisniewski take the lead in planning the wedding.
“I’m doing a great job as I’m getting out of the way, letting Jill do her thing,” he said. “As I’ve learned from a lot of my good friends, I’m doing a great job.”
Wisniewski graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2015, and it is said that she splits her time between Chicago, where she works at an advertising agency, and South Florida, where Thomas resides.
When things got tough for Thomas, who previously told PEOPLE he was in a “pretty bad space mentally” for a while in 2021, Wisniewski was there for him through it all, from celebrating his first PGA Tour victory in 2017 to helping him.
In May 2015, Wisniewski earned a journalism B.A. from the University of Kentucky. Although she spends a lot of time in South Florida, where Thomas resides, her LinkedIn profile indicates that she is currently employed by the McGarryBowen Chicago office of the advertising firm.
Thomas has made it clear how important Wisniewski is to his ongoing golf success. He claimed to be a part of a “great support system” that has helped the professional golfer get through challenging times in his career when speaking to PEOPLE in March 2022.
