Jennifer Long’s spouse and Tyler Gardiner’s father is Dennis Gardiner. Tyler’s murder was not revealed to him for several days, and he sought justice for his son.
Tyler Gardiner, an 8-year-old child from Alabama, was attacked in his home on March 16, 2023.
What stunned the public is Tyler Gardiner’s mother, Jennifer Nicole Long, has been named as the only suspect in the heinous crime.
Officers discovered the eight-year-old child lifeless in the main bedroom of his mother’s home in Hatselle. The mother of the deceased has been accused with capital murder.

Gardiner expressed his grief and expressed hope that justice would be served for his son.
“I am a Christian, but for what she (Jennifer Long) did to my boy, I hope they pull every bit of hair right off her head,” said Tyler Gardiner’s dad.
“She tortured him. She cut him first. When the grandfather arrived, he didn’t even attempt to get my son. Unfortunately, he was cut, but Tyler died because he (Tyler’s grandfather) never attempted to get my son,” added Dennis.
“Everyone in that d— area is a coward. They never once attempted to help a helpless young boy in the presence of a crazed adult woman brandishing a knife,” Gardiner continued.
The grieving father questioned, “What is this society heading to that you can’t even assist an 8-year-old?
Unfortunately, Dennis Gardiner has buried more than one kid. He claims he lost a kid to a drunk motorist in 1991 and is distraught to have to go through the same ordeal again.
On 16 March 2023, an emergency contact dispatcher replied to a call at about 5:30 am Thursday regarding the knife assault at home.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Priceville Police Department helped Morgan County Deputies as they arrived at the scene on Village Dr near Hartselle.
Deputies arrived on the scene to find an adult man with a stab wound and a dead 8-year-old kid.
After getting care at the crime site, the survivor, who has since been named as Charles Long, was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.
