Timothy Smith’s murder is being investigated as the result of the actions of a Florida man named Herbert Swilley. The case also involves Swilley’s daughter, who is a person of interest.
According to Zach Moore, a spokesman for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, “Mr. Smith’s husband Herbert Swilley is currently our suspect, and Jordan Swilley, Herbert’s daughter, is also a person of interest in this case.”
In a statement, Sandy Reils, Smith’s sister, said, “Actually, I wasn’t surprised. From the beginning, I had the suspicion that he was somehow involved or knew someone who was.
Herbert Swilley, who is he?
Florida resident Herbert Swilley, 59, is charged with killing his husband. Although Jordan Swilley, Swilley’s daughter, is also under investigation, he is the main subject of the inquiry. Twenty years old is Jordan. Sheriff’s deputies from Marion County are still looking for Herbert.
Timothy Smith was reportedly murdered at the couple’s home in March. Smith’s body was found in a bedroom when Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies got to the Citrus Park apartment.
“Deputies were called to check on Mr. Smith, Timothy Smith,’s well-being. When they found him, it appeared that he had been brutally attacked, according to Zach Moore.
During the initial stages of the investigation, Swilley actually spoke with detectives. Later, however, he decided against following suit. His attorney stated that he would only cooperate if he were given immunity from prosecution for killing Smith when the police attempted to persuade him once more.
In order to solve this crime, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office has appealed for the public’s help and is now offering a reward of up to $9,500 in exchange for information. Smith’s sister is also asking for assistance. “He was an excellent man. He was very loving and giving, and he would sacrifice anything for anyone, according to Reils.
Please get in touch with the sheriff’s office so they can handle this case, find some closure, and learn the truth about what actually happened to him. If Jordan is listening, I kindly ask her to assist in bringing Tim to justice.
