A well-liked actor, David Tennant is most renowned for his lead part in Doctor Who.
However, his spouse is also an actor, and her father was a Time Lord in the past, so he’s not the only performer in the family.
Who is David Tennant’s wife Georgia?
Georgia Moffett, the daughter of Doctor Who actor Peter Davison and his actress ex-wife Sandra Dickinson, was born in London on December 25, 1984.
She played Nicki Davey in Peak Practice in 1999, making her on-screen debut at the young age of 15, following in her parents’ footsteps.
The actress’s most well-known performance is probably from her 2007–2009 recurring part on The Bill as Abigail Nixon.
Georgia made her television debut as Jenny in a May 2008 episode of Doctor Who. Jenny is the synthetic daughter of David Tennant, the tenth doctor, and her husband.
In 2020, along with her husband, Georgia co-starred and produced the comedy Staged, which was filmed during the Covid-19 lockdown.
In an interview with Times Radio, David described the experience as “fun”.
The actor said: “It’s not something we’d done a lot of, but then suddenly we’re locked in our house and if you’re going to make a TV show there are only the people next to you who you can make it with.”
He added: “It was a very particular set of circumstances.”
“Also, we’ve discovered we enjoy working together.
“Doing Staged, when we were effectively filming ourselves and directing ourselves, staging the whole thing, we discovered we quite like it.
“It’s quite fun, so we’re quite happy to do that increasingly… It just made sense.”
However, David did admit that the pair would’ve been reluctant to have embarked on the project had it been earlier in their relationship.
He said: “We’ve been together a long time, we’ve got a billion kids. We’re more of a robust structure, so I don’t think we were quite so nervous as we once were.”
When did David Tennant and Georgia get married?
In January 2011, The happy couple got engaged, and then tied the knot on December 30, 2011.
The following day the pair celebrated their big day in style with a New Year’s Eve reception at London’s Globe Theatre.
A friend said: “David and Georgia are madly in love.
“They have tried to keep everything quiet and the wedding is for family and closest friends only.”
