Everyone is stunned by the suspected kidnapping case involving a Memphis woman. Running early on September 2 at the University of Memphis, Eliza Fletcher was compelled into a dark-colored GMC Terrain by an unknown person. Since then, her family has offered a reward of $50,000 to anyone with information leading to her location.
Eliza, who also goes by the name “Liza,” reportedly comes from a very wealthy family. Joseph “Joe” Orgill III, a late hardware tycoon and proprietor of Orgill Inc., was her grandpa. “We look forward to Eliza’s safe return and hope that this prize will assist authorities capture those who committed this crime,” the mother-of-family two’s said in a statement following her alleged kidnapping. However,
Eliza’s marriage to Richard Fletcher
In a “really wonderful” ceremony, the couple celebrated their vows being exchanged in 2014. There has never been a wedding like this in Memphis, claims Memphis Magazine. Eliza was described in the article as “a ‘natural’ girl who was outdoorsy, sporty, and warm, and the ideas for her wedding were inspired by her personality and sense of style.”
The magazine added that “the wedding ceremony was held at nearby Second Presbyterian Church, which was indeed where the happy couple met; the officiant was Reverend Mitchell Moore. Echoing the naturalistic theme, Liza’s elegant wedding gown by Austin Scarlett was painted with pale mauve flowers.”
The senior pastor of the church, where the couple said “I do,” has called the couple “very active and great leaders in our congregation.” Pastor George Robertson told the Commercial Appeal, “She and her husband Ritchie are both very active and great leaders in our congregation. They have two little boys who have come up to me every week and give me a hug. She and her husband are both just inspirations in the sense of their zest for life and love of running and athletics.”
“But what’s most important at this time is they have a very deep and profound trust in Christ, who they have leaned on throughout their lives and who has made a real significant impact on each of them personally. That is Ritchie’s trust right now,” Robertson added.

Eliza’s Instagram account is public, unlike Richard’s, and her most recent post, dated the end of July, hinted that they were travelling. She wrote in the caption of a collection of photos, “Loving our time up north!!!” She tweeted a family shot earlier in January and captioned it, “Beautiful January day with my family. We rode our bikes around Shelby Farms this afternoon. #moredayslikethis I adore spending time in outdoors with these crew.

According to sources, Richard discussed “issues in the marriage” on his social media account in 2021. According to the message, yesterday celebrated 7 years of marriage to this beauty. We probably would have responded “NO” if you had asked us if we would live to be seven years old in year three. We clearly missed the notice that having a happy marriage is not going to be simple. Thankfully, we prioritised God and our recovery, were open to one other’s faith, and sought out assistance.
“We are so thankful for individual counseling, couples counseling, recovery and friends! We can honestly say we wouldn’t have it any other way!” he had added.
In March 2022, the preschool teacher also mentioned her marriage with Richard as she noted: “Yesterday marked 8 years married to @fletch_livves. To say it has all been rainbows, prettiness, Hollywood movies, and easy would be a lie. I am grateful for every 2922 day of these 8 years. We have worked hard, showed up, failed, forgiven, and loved. Thank you Richie! Love you! Lets make a beautiful mess of many more years together. ❤️”
