Eliza Fletcher, a billionaire heiress who was abducted while out for a morning jog, has been hailed as “inspirational” and “full of enthusiasm for life.” On Friday, September 2, at around 4.20 am, Eliza Fletcher, a teacher, was kidnapped close to the University of Memphis. She was apparently being forced inside a black SUV by an unidentified captor while she was exercising.
People who know her are praying for her after an inquiry into the kidnapping of the 34-year-old pre-kindergarten teacher at St. Mary’s Episcopal School was started. In a statement, her family said they were offering a $50,000 prize to anyone who could locate her. They added, “We look forward to Eliza’s safe homecoming and hope that this award will help.”
According to accounts, Richard ‘Richie’ James Fletcher III and his wife Eliza, better known as “Liza,” attend Second Presbyterian Church. They have been married for eight years. She was described as “full of life” by the senior pastor of the church, George Robertson. She and her husband Ritchie are both very involved and outstanding leaders in our congregation, he told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. The pastor continued, “She and her husband are both just inspirations in the sense of their zest for life and love of running and athletics,” before adding, “But what’s most important at this time is they have a very deep and profound trust in Christ, who they have leaned on throughout their lives and who has made a real significant impact on each of them personally. That is Ritchie’s trust right now.”

According to reports, in a Facebook post from 2021, St. Mary’s Episcopal School commended Eliza, saying, “She is a compassionate and dedicated teacher who is always seeking for unique ways to educate to all learners. She gets to know each kid well and does everything in her power to inspire a love of learning in them. She always finds time in the classroom to recognise both major and minor accomplishments.
Authorities have not yet disclosed any significant information in Eliza’s case, however they have revealed that the kidnapper is a guy.
