In September 2021, Honey Boo Boo, whose real name is Alana Thompson, made her relationship with Dralin known to the public.
His personal life is not well known, however a source told The U.S. Sun that he is a college student.
Before the Covid-19 epidemic hit, he attended a technical college in Nashville, but now he lives in Georgia close to Alana and her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, who is now her legal guardian.
Dralin and Alana frequently hang out together and are joined at the hip, a source claimed.
The insider continued: “He was quiet at first, but he’s like one of the family now. He’s just as fun and crazy as the rest of them.”
Fans first adored seeing Alana happy amidst all the drama with her mother, June “Mama June” Shannon, but as soon as they saw how much older she was compared to her mother, their perceptions of their relationship swiftly changed.
When Alana was 16 and Dralin was 21, they started dating.
The Mama June: Road to Redemption actor has subsequently addressed the age difference, saying that neither she nor her family find it bothersome.
“In our relationship, the two most things that everybody is always talking about is our age gap and definitely because he’s Black and I’m white and we’re an interracial couple,” Alana said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I don’t care because, like, at the end of the day, my sister approves, his mom approves, and we’re happy, so what fans got to say or what haters got to say I don’t really care,” she continued.
Pumpkin confirmed her sister’s claims, revealing that she thinks her sister is emotionally mature enough to date an older man.
“She’s not getting married, she’s not having a kid, she’s doing very good in school,” Pumpkin explained.
She went on to add that she thinks Alana and her man are “on the same wavelength.”
