Many Star Wars fans are getting their first taste of the Rebels cast thanks to the Ahsoka series. C1-10P, also known as Chopper, is one of the group’s notable members worth mentioning.
Beyond his distinctive personality, Chopper is unique in that Dave Filoni, the show’s writer, director, and a seasoned storyteller who helped shape Lucasfilm’s storytelling universe, provided the voice for Chopper.
Dave Filoni: Who is he?
David Filoni, an American director, producer, screenwriter, and voice actor, was born on June 7, 1974. His creative contributions have been seen in a wide range of endeavors, including notable parts in numerous productions. His participation in “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “The Mandalorian,” and both the theatrical film and television versions of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” are notable pieces in his impressive body of work.
As the creator and executive producer of “Star Wars Rebels,” a captivating series that lasted four seasons, Filoni demonstrated his creative abilities. He also served as the show’s supervising director throughout its run, with the exception of the third season, when Justin Ridge filled the position. During this time, Filoni’s duties grew as he rose through the ranks to take charge of all of Lucasfilm Animation’s projects.
His roles as a writer and executive producer for the web series “Star Wars Forces of Destiny” serve as testament to how his influence continued to influence the Star Wars universe.
