After being spotted sleeping in an allegedly stolen automobile in Washington, DC, Dalaneo Martin, 17, was fatally shot by a police officer last month. An inquiry into the incident’s civil rights has been opened by the FBI and federal prosecutors. Terra Martin, Dalaneo’s mother, told reporters on Wednesday that her son ought to be alive and that the cop who shot him ought to be named in the media. She further emphasised the need for first-degree murder arrests for all of the accused cops.

Both cops were sent to a hospital for medical care. Their identities and state of health have not been disclosed. The officers are on standard paid administrative leave while the investigation is continuing. The police union that represents the officers was unavailable for immediate comment.
The police released two body camera videos from the officers’ views along with a 12-minute explanatory video that showed cops tending to the driver’s wounds before emergency help arrived. The two body camera movies have running times that span from 29 to 37 minutes. In certain locations, the audio is muffled, and the faces of the cops are obscured.
