JEOPARDY! On Tuesday, competitor Connor Sears won his second game, earning a cool $43.9K in total.
He’s also a good-looking guy, viewers who were impressed by his skills admitted in numerous online forums.
Max Davison, a writer from Studio City, California, and Suzanne Zgraggen, a zoo educator from West Valley, Utah, competed against the two-day champion.
After defeating two-day champion Patrick Curran on Monday, Connor, a copy editor from Queens, New York, ascended to the left platform, where champions are recognised.
Jeopardy! As the contender with the swooping hair showed his lovely smile and won in a brave second attempt, spectators appreciated seeing him there literally.
Rival Max entered two categories in the Double Jeopardy round tonight because he has his eye on the prize.
The eventual runner-up dropped a vital “Daily Double,” and because he had bet $4,000, he was unable to make up ground.
When Connor hit one of the other “Daily Doubles,” he immediately placed an all-in wager of $7400.
Connor mused, “Ken, I’d like to do a True Daily Double.”
Ken Jennings questioned the audacious action, “Really?”
“Alright,” Ken added. “Trying to put this away early, here’s your clue.”
It read: “The most populous city in New Zealand, it hasn’t been the capital since 1865.”
The decision paid off since Connor correctly answered the question “What is: Aukland” and by Final Jeopardy, he was almost in the lead with $20,400.
Max, one of the contestants, had $12,400, while Suzanne came in last with $3,600.
None of the three correctly answered the last clue, therefore Connor maintained his lead by forfeiting $4,401 to take home the $15,999 prize.
One shameless fan posted to Facebook: “The HOTTIE won!!!!”
Another user agreed: “He is a hottie!! And smart, too.”
A third calmed the bunch down and replied: “The smartest contestant won. And that’s all we have to know about him.”
While a fourth claimed: “Nah, that would be [recent champ] Cris Pannullo!”
A fifth was able to get past the looks category to say Connor’s gameplay was promising.
“Congrats to Connor on a bold daily double wager that probably won him the game.”
They added, though, going back to his looks: “Connor reminds me of Jason Schwartzman. Feels a bit like having a timeless Wes Anderson character on the J! stage.”
“He was a pleasure to watch!” agreed a sixth.
