MODEL Julia Fox is renowned for her daring sense of style and breathtaking runway walk.
The actress’s brother was detained on March 8, 2023, and is currently being charged with several offences.
Thomas Fox, Julia Fox’s lone parent, raised her and her brother Christopher in New York City. Julia Fox is now 33.
“I grew up Uptown, mostly,” Julia told Highsnobiety in a 2019 interview.
“We moved around a lot. It was kind of unstable. We were homeless at one point. I actually have lived in almost every single neighborhood – Harlem, Chelsea, everywhere. I moved Downtown when I was 17 and I haven’t left.”
She previously described her 30-year-old brother as a “mad scientist” and told the publication he still resides in New York, but that he’s not really a part of her life.
“He builds 3D printers for fun,” Julia added.
Christopher is not well-known because he tends to stay out of the huge spotlight that is focused on his sister.
How many siblings does Julia Fox have?
Julia comes from an Italian-American family with three kids. Christopher is one of her two brothers.
“My dad is American. He’s, like, a seventh generation New Yorker,” she told Highsnobiety. “He’s out of his mind. I pretty much grew up with him. Single dad. Poor guy.”
She continued: “My mom stayed in Italy. And I have two younger brothers.
“One is close in age to me, and the other one is 15. The 15-year-old lives in Italy with my mom, but the older one grew up with me in New York.”
Why was Christopher Fox arrested?
According to sources speaking to The New York Post on March 8, 2023, Christopher Fox and his father Thomas were detained in their Upper East Side residence at around 6am as part of a more thorough ghost gun investigation.
According to John Hopkins University, “Ghost guns are untraceable by design, privately made firearms lacking serial numbers and other identifying markings.”
In the pair’s apartment, investigators allegedly found unidentified pills, ghost guns, 3D printers, polymer material, and more.
“The NYPD’s Ghost Gun Team seized several ghost gun parts as well as equipment for pressing narcotics pills,” an NYPD spokesperson said.
“Team members also discovered materials typically used as components in explosives, including pressure cookers and various chemicals, which can also be used for manufacturing narcotics.”
Although neither Thomas nor Christopher have a criminal history, the latter is “facing charges including manufacture of a machine gun, manufacture of a rapid fire modified device, manufacture of a dangerous instrument, manufacture of a weapon, manufacture of a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal possession of drug paraphilia,” according to ABC7.
Thomas was detained by the police but has not yet been charged with anything.
