While on a train to New York City, BRIANNA Pinnix got into a fight with some German visitors.
The New Jersey woman has seen significant blowback since a video of the event went viral online and exposed her abusive remarks.
Who is Brianna Pinnix?
A 30-year-old woman named Brianna Pinnix was caught on camera making xenophobic remarks to a group of German visitors while on a train to New York City.
In the footage, Pinnix can be heard asking, “Are you German or something?” while looming over the tourists, as the Daily Mail reported on October 4, 2023.
She added: “What did you say? No, tell me what you said.”
She later said: “I’m not gonna let f***ing immigrants take over our country.”
Throughout the encounter, a man who appears to be Pinnix’s partner tried to comfort her and diffuse the situation.
He said, in part: “Brie, do not do this, you’re gonna get arrested.”
Pinnix said: “I love you, but get off me.”
He added: “Stop this right now, go sit down or I’m never going to talk to you again.”
When Pinnix returned to her seat, her companion introduced herself as an immigrant. You are aware that I am also an immigrant, right?
Yes, but since I’m in charge of you, Pinnix said, “It’s okay.”
Later, she stood up from her seat once more and yelled at the visitors, “How about you get the f*** out of our country.”
She questioned an anonymous train passenger if they knew “what the f***” one of the tourists said to her after receiving flak for her bigoted remark.
What sparked the argument or what remarks were said to Pinnix are unknown.
The DailyMail.com was informed by New Jersey Transit that the organization “strongly condemns any behavior of this type” and that its patrons are “encouraged to report incidents of this nature to train crew members, or they can reach out to NJ TRANSIT Police.”
The transportation business added that it is looking into the incident but was unable to immediately confirm whether it happened on a train on the line.
The Daily Mail reports that Marymount Manhattan College is where Pinnix earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies.
According to the New York Post, she graduated from the university in 2015 and is from Mahwah, New Jersey, according to her Facebook page.
According to her since-deleted LinkedIn profile, Pinnix was employed by Captial RX as a senior talent acquisition consultant, as stated by the Daily Mail.
She worked at Green Key Resources between March 2017 and April 2019 and InterQuest Group between 2019 and 2022 before joining Capital RX, according to the outlet.
After the video went viral, Pinnix was fired from her job.
On October 4, 2023, a Capital RX spokesperson told the New York Post: “Our company has a zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behavior.
“After conducting a review of the circumstances, we acted immediately and terminated the employee in question.
“The former employee’s actions and words are not representative of Capital Rx, and we offer our sincerest apology to those who were hurt.”
