The Hudson Brothers’ former vocalist Bill Hudson was wed to Cindy Williams. His ex-wife passed away on Wednesday of last week, according to a statement released by her children on Monday.
Williams, who as Shirley on the well-known comedy Laverne & Shirley opposite Penny Marshall’s Laverne, passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 75 following a brief illness.
“The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” the statement said. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.”
Emily (born in 1982) and Zachary (born in 1982) are the couple’s two children from their 1982 marriage to Cindy Williams (b. 1986). In 2000, the two divorced.
