A traffic check led to the arrest of Bashaud Breeland, a former Super Bowl champion and cornerback in the NFL, this week in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is now facing a number of charges, including possession of a stolen car, firearms, and illegal drugs, according to a police report that was obtained by several sources on Wednesday.
Bashaud Breeland: who is he?
American cornerback Bashaud Breeland competes in the National Football League (NFL) as a professional football player. He is currently 31 years old and was born on January 30, 1992.
Breeland was chosen by the Washington Football Team (previously known as the Washington Redskins) in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and he now plays for the league. Breeland played college football at Clemson University before turning pro.
Over the course of his career, Breeland has established a solid reputation for himself as a versatile secondary player. He played for the Washington Football Team for many seasons prior to signing with the Green Bay Packers in 2018 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. He was essential to the Chiefs’ successful Super Bowl LIV defense in the 2019 campaign.
Breeland received a three-star rating from Rivals.com, and according to Scout.com and ESPN.com, he is the No. 56 safety in the nation and the No. 6 player in South Carolina, respectively. Over Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech, he decided on Clemson.
Breeland participated in track and basketball in addition to football. As a sophomore and junior in track and field, Breeland won the state title in the 400-meter hurdles and helped his team win the title. He captured two state titles at the 2010 SCHSL State Championships by winning the 110-meter hurdles by 15.06 seconds and the 400-meter hurdles by 54.78 seconds.
Breeland finished tenth in the 300-meter hurdles event at the 2010 Bob Hayes Invitational with a time of 40.69 seconds. Additionally, he set records for the squat and bench press at 450 and 280 pounds, respectively, and ran the 40 yards in 4.41 seconds.
