Arik Gilbert is who?
The date of birth of Arik Dasan Gilbert is February 22, 2002. He is 21 years old right now. He plays tight end for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in American football at the moment. Throughout his collegiate career, he has also played for the Georgia Bulldogs and the LSU Tigers.
In Marietta, Georgia, at Marietta High School, he started his football career. He was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year in his senior year. His outstanding performance, in which he hauled in 101 passes for 1,760 yards and 14 touchdowns, earned him this honor. He racked up impressive numbers during his time in high school, including 243 receptions for 3,540 yards and 35 touchdowns.
The NCAA’s decision regarding Arik Gilbert’s eligibility for the 2023 season had been eagerly awaited.
Gilbert started his college football career with the LSU Tigers as a highly regarded five-star prospect from Marietta, Georgia. As a true freshman in 2020, he had 35 catches for 368 yards and two touchdowns in his first season. He originally intended to transfer to the University of Florida after that season, but he later changed his mind and ended up at the University of Georgia.
Gilbert didn’t play on the field at all in the 2021 season, though. In the three games he participated in with the Bulldogs last fall, he managed to make two catches. After the season was over, he subsequently transferred to the University of Nebraska.
