Apoorva Tewari is Vivek Ramaswamy’s wife.
She earned her MD at Yale before working as a resident physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia and Cornell.
Apoorva is a laryngologist who specializes in swallowing difficulties ranging from head and neck cancer to reflux to neurodegenerative illnesses, according to her LinkedIn page.
“I am passionate about helping my patients with these problems using both surgical and medical methods in order to optimize their quality of life,” she wrote on the Ohio State University website.
Apoorva is an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University, in addition to her clinical and research work.
She also serves on the National Foundation of Swallow Disorders’ medical advisory board and on several committees for the Dysphagia Research Society.
Apoorva stated in 2020 that she would begin her Laryngology and Bronchoesophagology fellowship at the University of California – Davis, which was also shared by the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders.
When did Vivek and Apoorva get married?
On May 31, 2015, the pair tied the knot.
According to sources, the couple first met as graduate students at Yale University.
Vivek posted many photos of his wife on Instagram to commemorate their anniversary, writing, ”Happy anniversary to the love of my life, Apoorva! On May 31, 2015, they were married. The best eight years of my life. We are grateful for our two sons and optimistic about the future.”
Vivek and Apoorva have two sons, Karthik and Arjun, as previously stated.
There isn’t much else known about the couple’s family life, but Vivek does periodically share photos of his wife and children with his social media followers.
