A WOMAN who allegedly started an online relationship with a serial murderer has shared a number of terrifying details about their relationship.
Months before he was charged with the murder of four people in Virginia, Monica White, 55, matched with Anthony Robinson, 36.
Robinson is known as “The Shopping Cart Killer,” as police think he placed the remains of his accused victims in shopping carts before disposing of their bodies.
After being divorced, White, of Pennsylvania, told the Washington Post that she had met Robinson online.
She claimed Robinson would contact her every day and that he called her “beautiful.”
They began video chatting, and in late 2020, the two travelled to Pennsylvania for a weekend.
Robinson flew to Harrisburg in February 2021 to celebrate her birthday, White claimed, since he was committed to the union.
She acknowledged that she and Robinson had gotten close, but she also horrifyingly confessed that he had once shown her a scar.
Robinson allegedly threatened to kill anyone who attempted to attack him with a knife.
She added that Robinson occasionally choked her.
After a home party, White and Robinson’s romance came to an end.
He allegedly made obscene remarks to her son and a friend’s teen-aged child while intoxicated.
Robinson said that he liked guys when White questioned him about the alleged insults.
She admitted to the Post that she could no longer trust him.
According to allegations, Robinson met his victims online before killing them.
In December 2021, he was accused of two homicides in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Tonita Lorice Smith, 39, and Allene Elizabeth “Beth” Redmon, 54, were found dead in an undeveloped lot.
Despite the fact that the women’s bodies were discovered close to one another, they died at various times.
According to Harrisonburg Police Chief Kelley Warner, Robinson was connected to the women’s killings through cell phone data and video surveillance.
Amanda May, Redmon’s daughter, claimed to have never met her father.
“He took her away from us and for what?” she asked WJLA.
May acknowledged that she was unaware of the length of Redmon and Robinson’s online conversation.
Robinson is also suspected of killing two additional women whose bodies were discovered in a garbage can in December.
They were identified as Stephanie Harrison, 48, of California, and Cheyenne Brown, 29, of Washington, DC.
These two homicides have not been the subject of any accusations.
Fairfax County police chief Kevin Davis told reporters: “He’s a predator as all serial killers are, and it’s our collective effort in law enforcement to do everything we can with each other, and with the community, to identify other places where he has been so we can bring closure and ultimately justice.”
Robinson is also a suspect in relation to Sonya Champ’s passing.
On September 7, 2021, Champ, 40, was discovered dead in a shopping cart in Washington, DC.
No charges have been filed in connection with her case.
