Angela Kelly, the late monarch’s longtime dresser, recently disclosed details of a wonderful experience she shared with her.
Kelly claims that despite the late Queen being asked to pose for a great number of official portraits during her reign, the monarch expressed a desire to be photographed in a more informal, fashionable pose and there was a certain level of formality that governed the library of pictures in her collection.
According to Kelly’s explanation, there was a specific posture she had always wanted to take, and as her friend, stylist, and confidante, Kelly was determined to help her make it happen.
The Queen reportedly always wanted to put her hands in her pockets in photos like she had seen in fashion photography, but her team had always cautioned her against it out of concern that it wasn’t proper for a woman of her status.
Kelly claims that she enlisted the assistance of photographer Barry Jeffery, and the pictures were taken in accordance with the Queen’s instructions but were never made public.

“‘No Barry, this is how we’re going to do it,’ she said. ‘Just keep the camera rolling.’ And we were off.”

A series of photos were taken, however the more candid shots, which show the Queen with a rare ear-to-ear smile, were not immediately released,
