According to a report, Ammon Bundy, an internationally recognized anti-government activist from Idaho who is best known for planning a violent seizure of federal property in Oregon seven years ago, has been ordered to pay a Boise hospital $26 million.
Ammon Bundy was conspicuously absent from the ten-day civil trial, which resulted in the verdict being made public late on Monday. During the trial, attorneys for St. Luke’s Hospital testified that there had been a widespread campaign of intimidation, bullying, and false information aimed at healthcare professionals.
Ammon Bundy: who is he?
American activist and militant against the government, Ammon Edward Bundy. He is a 47-year-old man. His most notable accomplishment is planning the 2016 occupation of Oregon’s Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. He is the son of the rancher Cliven Bundy, who was a pivotal figure in the 2014 Nevada Bundy standoff over unpaid grazing fees on federally owned public land.
In March 2020, Bundy established the extreme right-wing People’s Rights network. He participated in protests and disruptions against the state of Idaho’s COVID-19 mitigation measures, which led to his detention more than five times during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He entered the 2022 election as a candidate for governor of Idaho. He initially filed the necessary paperwork to run in the Republican primary, but he later changed his mind and chose to run as an independent in the general election. Bundy gave it his best shot, but he fell short and came in third place in the race for governor.
His wife Lisa is his wife. Three daughters and three sons make up the couple’s six children.
