The Glendale Police Department announced at a news conference on July 26 that Alicia Navarro, a young girl who had been missing since 2019, had been found safely.
When authorities announced they had located her in Montana, her two-year disappearance came to an end. More details regarding the circumstances of her discovery and current state of health were not made public during the press conference.
Alicia Navarro: who is she?
The age of Alicia Navarro is 18. She left her home in the middle of the night more than three years ago and has since vanished. When she disappeared, she had just turned 14 years old.
According to the authorities, Alicia Navarro was discovered in a Montana community near the Canadian border. The officials expressed relief and hope upon finding her after a painful and protracted search, hoping to bring some comfort to her family.
According to those with knowledge of the situation, Alicia Navarro’s mother never stopped looking for her over the years. The behavior of her daughter during Alicia’s disappearance, according to Alicia’s mother, was out of character for a high-functioning autistic child.
The Glendale Police report that Alicia Navarro showed up at a nearby Montana police station. The video and picture they provided of her at the police station demonstrate the efforts made by the authorities to document and verify her safe arrival.
In a statement, Glendale PD Lt. Scott Waite urged patience, not just for law enforcement in this investigation but also for Alicia and her family. Although we’d like to say that this is the end of the investigation, we have no idea what she is going through psychologically or emotionally, let alone what her family is experiencing.
