Viewers can anticipate being enthralled by the new Netflix film The Playing Card Killer. This miniseries offers viewers a chilling glimpse into the psyche of one of Spain’s most known serial killers.

The four-part Spanish documentary has garnered a lot of interest and will premiere on June 9, 2023.

The murders that Alfredo Galán perpetrated in Spain in the early 2000s provide the basis of The Playing Card Killer.

By leaving a scary playing card at each murder site, Galán, sometimes known as “The Playing Card Killer,” frightened a lot of people. This unsettling fact led to the eerie nickname he was given.

The serial killer was he/she married? Learn more about Alfredo’s personal life and career by reading the article’s conclusion.

Alfredo Galán, the man who murdered playing cards, is reportedly unmarried. Her marriage and her relationships are rarely discussed in the media.

The murderer was a neurotic and anxious person. He therefore preferred to spend his alone time and was somewhat reticent and introverted.

Therefore, it might be believed that the murderer of the playing cards had little interest in romantic relationships.

Galán was the high school class president as well, but his peers characterized him as uninteresting and reticent.

Alfredo enrolled in the Spanish army in September 1998 when he was 20 years old. He eventually rose to the rank of corporal in the Alcalá de Henares Parachute Regiment and participated in humanitarian missions in Bosnia. It was returned despite the Prestige’s oil leak

After stealing a car, Galán was taken to the Gómez Ulla military hospital in Madrid. He continued to drink despite receiving diagnoses of neurotic and anxiety.

The playing card murderer began working as a security guard at Madrid-Barajas airport in March 2003 after leaving the hospital.

Why is Alfredo Galán called the playing card killer?

At the age of 26, Galán went on a brutal rampage that lasted for almost two months in early 2003.

He committed his first crime on January 24, 2003, when he shot 50-year-old Juan Francisco Ledesma in the head in front of his 2-year-old son. After the murder, he left an ace of cups playing card.

On February 5, not long after, he once more shot a man in the head. His second victim was a 28-year-old airport worker named Juan Estacio. He once more left an ace of clubs close to the body.

As his third victim, the serial killer shot 27-year-old Santiago Eduardo Salas in the face. Salas, however, made it out alive, and Anahid Castillo Ruperti, a friend of Salas, also did.

Again, believing Salas was dead, he left a playing card adjacent to the crime site.

In July 2003, the murderer, who was 26 at the time, changed his appearance before the police and confessed to being The Playing Card Killer.

He had sneaked the gun into Spain while concealing it inside of a television. As a soldier, he transported the Tokarev TT-33 pistol from Bosnia to Spain.

It’s thought that he began leaving playing cards next to the bodies of his victims after becoming famous in the media when one of his victims had a playing card found nearby.

now in style: Brian Aaron Marbury is accused of murdering Sahra Bulle.

The killer Alfredo’s confessions were surrounded by a number of strange occurrences.

Before the investigating court in September 2003, he revised his tale, claiming that a neo-Nazi had threatened to kill his sisters if he did not confess to the killings.

The same group of neo-Nazis purchased the pistol prior to the murder, he continued. The judge, however, did not consider this.

The serial killer was given a 142-year and three-month term after being found responsible for six killings and three attempted homicides. He is still incarcerated in Spain carrying out that sentence.
