Four people have been arrested after a model and influencer’s dismembered body was discovered at a house in a Hong Kong village.
Abby Choi was reported missing on Wednesday, and police have now released graphic details about her death.
Her ex-husband, 28, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday while attempting to flee the city by boat, according to police.
The man’s parents and older brother had been arrested the day before.
Ms Choi’s body was discovered in a fridge in a house in Lung Mei village, about 27 kilometres (17 miles) from where she was last seen in Kowloon City on Tuesday.
“We believe the victim and her ex-family husband’s had many financial disputes involving large sums,” police superintendent Alan Chung told AFP.
“Someone was unhappy with how the victim handled her assets, which became a motivation to kill.”
Police said two pots of stew containing human tissue had been discovered in the house and that they were still looking for some of her body parts.
“A meat slicer, an electric saw and some clothing in suspected connection with the case were seized at the scene,” police said in a statement.

Alex Kwong is Abby Choi’s ex-husband.
Abby, who was born on July 11, 1994, was only 18 years old when she married Kwong in 2012.
They went on to have two children together.
Despite their divorce, Choi is thought to have been financially supporting Kwong and his parents.
His Instagram account documented a lavish lifestyle that Abby was funding.
Abby was thought to have a net worth of around £10.6 million, which enabled her to support her ex-husband and his family.
She inherited her family’s fortune from profitable business dealings in China.
What happened to Abby Choi?
Abby assisted her brother-in-law, Anthony Kwong, in purchasing his first home.
The £7.6 million purchase is thought to have sparked a feud between her and the Kwong family as she attempted to sell the property.
Body parts, as well as ID cards and credit cards belonging to Abby, were discovered in a Hong Kong house on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Apart from a meat grinder, an electric saw, and soup pots, the property was mostly unfurnished.
Police believe the property was rented solely for the purpose of serving as a butchery site for the murder victim.
They towed away a van that they believe was used in the model and influencer’s murder.
On Sunday, February 26, 2023, authorities investigating the gruesome discovery discovered more body parts in a soup pot, including ribs and a head.
On February 25, 2023, her ex-husband Alex was apprehended while attempting to flee to nearby islands in a speedboat.
He was discovered to be carrying £50,000 in cash as well as designer watches estimated to be worth another £400,000.
Alex and his brother Anthony were both arrested in connection with Abby’s disappearance and murder.
They, along with their father, Kwong Kau, have been charged with murder.
Jenny Li, Alex’s mother, was arrested and charged with perverting the course of justice.
Who is Alex Kwong’s dad?
Alex Kwong’s father, Kwong Kau, is a former police officer.
Cops believe Abby’s former father-in-law was behind the whole thing.
Despite her divorce from Alex, Abby was paying for his parents’ luxurious apartment.

“Someone was dissatisfied with how the victim handled her assets, which became a motive to kill.”
