On Monday, news of Angus Cloud’s sudden death at age 25 was released.
The adored actor leaves behind his mother Lisa Cloud McLaughlin, as well as Molly and Fiona Hickey, his identical twin sisters.
Fiona and Molly Hickey: who are they?
The younger twin sisters of Angus Cloud have maintained a very private lifestyle ever since their brother gained notoriety.
Apart from the connection to their deceased brother, not much is known about them. They had to say goodbye to their father in May and struggled with their grief over his passing.
Conor Hickey sadly passed away soon after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Just one week before Angus Cloud passed away, he was buried in Ireland.
Their mother, Lisa Cloud McLaughlin, has spent her entire career working as a university professor. In the 1980s, she and her late husband moved from Ireland to California.
After the tragic passing of her son and life partner, Lisa has paid heartfelt tributes.
What happened to Angus Cloud?
According to reports, Angus was lamenting the death of his father Conor Hickey at the time of his death. In order to assist him with the process, the 25-year-old was staying with his family.
A family source told that the actor had been struggling with suicidal thoughts since his father’s funeral.
The outlet reported on July 31 that Oakland Police had responded to a 911 call from Angus’ mother, Lisa, reporting a “possible overdose” at around 11:30 am. At the scene, he was identified as deceased.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” his family said in a statement. “Angus was special to all of us in a variety of ways, including as an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son.”
“He buried his father last week and struggled greatly to come to terms with this loss. The fact that Angus is now back with his father, who served as his closest friend, is the only solace we can offer. We hope that Angus’ passing will serve as a reminder to others that they are not in this battle alone and should not go through it in silence since he was open about it.”
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone,” they said in their conclusion. “We are still processing this tragic loss, so we ask for privacy at this time.”
Angus became well-known after his 2019 appearance in the HBO hit series Euphoria. He was discovered by accident when a casting agent saw him strolling down a Manhattan, New York, street.
He later admitted that he was perplexed and had refrained from giving her his phone number at the time, when he was employed as a “chicken and waffle” restaurant employee. I believed it to be a con.
Before securing the pivotal Euphoria role, Angus attended the Oakland School for the Arts where he was raised in Oakland, California.
The aspiring actor made an effort to keep the majority of his personal life out of the spotlight after coming into the public eye.
However, Angus revealed he had a brain injury when a viral interview about his slurred speech went public.
He fractured his skull when he was a teenager after falling into a 10-foot-deep construction pit.
Twelve hours later, he awoke and continued what he had said earlier: “I eventually climbed out after, I don’t know how long.”
Since my skin wasn’t broken but my skull was, all the bleeding was internal and pressing against my brain, making it extremely difficult to climb out.
But they wouldn’t be able to locate me there. I came to myself. Whatever you want to call it—God found me.
The tenacious young boy then took the bus home, whereupon his mother hurried him to the hospital, where he was kept in intensive care for five days.
He was recently linked to model Sydney Martin, according to rumors.
They shared adorable selfies of themselves looking happy together, and Sydney has shared heartbroken tributes since his death.
