On Sunday, September 5, 2022, a series of stabbings occurred in a local town in Saskatchewan and an indigenous hamlet nearby. The sad tragedy resulted in 10 fatalities and 15 injuries. As two “armed and dangerous individuals” who have not been apprehended, Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson have been named.
The two suspects are being sought after, according to the Canadian Police Department, who are scouring the vast province. The tragedy on Sunday was one of the worst and most terrifying mass murders in Canadian history.
Who are Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson?
The two accused instigators of the string of stabbings in Saskatchewan that left 10 people dead and 15 injured are Damien Sanderson, 31, and Myles Sanderson, 30. At the time of writing, they are still at large, and police are looking for them to apprehend them.
Myles Sanderson is 6 feet 1 inches tall and 200 points, but Damien Sanderson is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 155 pounds. Both men are of the white ethnicity, have black hair, and brown eyes.
A black Nissan Rogue with the licence number 119 MPI appeared to be being driven by Damien and Myles. They were discovered in the car for the first time in Regina, which is around 208 kilometres south of the places where the horrible stabbings occurred.
Police have advised the populace to remain vigilant as they believe they are still in the city. “Take care and think about sheltering in place if you’re in the Regina area. Never leave a safe place. AVOID approaching shady characters. Avoid picking up hitchhikers. Call 9-1-1 to report suspicious people, emergencies, or information. Don’t reveal where the police are, the RCMP warned on Twitter.
A dangerous person warrant has been issued by the RCMP for both the Manitoban and Albertan male. It’s also disclosed that Myles Sanderson’s name was on a Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers wanted list that was published in May of last year.
“If Damien and Myles are listening, or receive this information, I would ask that they turn themselves into police immediately,” said RCMP Assistant Commissioner in Saskatchewan Rhonda Blackmore.
“They’re considered armed and dangerous. At this point, we don’t know if they have changed vehicles since this morning. Their location and direction of travel are unknown.”
