There is already a feature in WhatsApp that enables you to sign in to your account on up to four devices simultaneously and keep them all synced. However, there is another useful feature that will allow you to manage multiple accounts on a single device coming soon.
No, having multiple WhatsApp versions to manage multiple accounts is not the point of this. Instead, with this update, you’ll be able to switch between multiple accounts while using a single app.
According to a report, this feature is currently only available on WhatsApp Business, but it will soon be available on other versions as well.
In order to support multiple accounts, WhatsApp has added a menu that will allow you to switch between them at any time, as the screenshot demonstrates. This already exists in many other social media platforms, such as Telegram, Discord, and Instagram.
Until you sign out of that account, any additional accounts you sign into from your device will remain on your list of accounts. This ought to make it possible for users to separate their personal and work-related WhatsApp accounts even if they only have one device.
How WhatsApp will differentiate between notifications from various accounts is not yet clear. It remains to be seen whether or not we will receive a small label identifying the account a message is from.
It will be some time before everyone has access to WhatsApp Business’s multi-account feature because it is still being developed.
