WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has finally included a screen-sharing capability for beta customers using WhatsApp beta version 2.23.11.19. According to WABetaInfo, the screen-sharing capability may be enabled during a video conference by pressing on the new icon in the call control menu.
“WhatsApp will have access to all of the information that is visible on your screen or played from your device while recording or casting.” reads a pop-up message after clicking on the screen-sharing icon. “This includes information such as passwords, payment details, photos, messages, and audio that you play,” it added.
However, the screen-sharing capability may be more useful if it is offered on WhatsApp Desktop, as it is not widely used on smartphones.
