After the Eid festival, the Wedding Halls Association threatened to protest the demolition of wedding halls in Karachi.
Rana Rais, the president of the Wedding Halls Association, announced that all wedding halls would be closed after Eid if the demolition of wedding halls did not stop.
They will initially refrain from attending weddings in Karachi, and then all wedding halls in Sindh will be shut down. The protests will become more widespread if the authorities do not change their minds.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) and the administration are tearing down wedding halls in the city that have been in operation legally, according to Wedding Halls Association President Rana Rais.
Wedding venues are constantly being destroyed despite the fact that all necessary paperwork is present. Owners of wedding halls have expressed distress and frustration over the ACE’s actions.
He claimed that teams would unexpectedly show up to destroy wedding venues late at night. Wedding venues are destroyed without warning or authorization from the law. For the laborers who are employed there at the time, the worry of losing their source of income is a concern.
The administrative authorities will be held accountable if any workers are injured. Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were notified of the situation by President Rana Rais.
