A parade of scantily clad women wearing uniforms was part of Wayne Lineker’s odd tribute to the Queen. Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday, the Buckingham Palace reported. She was 96 years old.
Since then, the country has been in grief as international leaders and celebrities remember the 70-year-old king. One memorial service held at O Beach Ibiza by businessman Wayne and his co-owners stood out.
A line of lingerie-clad women can be seen marching through a crowded room and onto a stage in a Twitter video of the event. They appear to be dressed similarly to the King’s Guard regiment, complete with crimson coats, bearskin helmets, and bikini tops embellished with fake medals.
The women followed Wayne and his friend to the stage and stood to attention as a speech was delivered to the audience. Are you everyone having a fantastic day? asked Wayne’s co-owner to the crowd. We’re all having a fantastic day right now. But since Wayne, I, and our other business partners are all British entrepreneurs, we were unable to let today pass without discussing what happened in the UK yesterday.
Sorry, I need to immortalise Wayne Lineker's tribute to the Queen because I will never not want to see it. pic.twitter.com/r8KOeSNQtJ

@adaliabooks gasped: “Wow… I’ve seen a few odd tributes, but that really takes the biscuit.” @_rachelbrogan tweeted: “Too far what have I just watched?” @Abboir_ asked: “What on earth have I just watched?” And @princessjack said: “It is so weird. I have so many questions.”
He added: “I think the majority of this crowd here today are from the UK if I’m right, yeah. It doesn’t matter if you’re British, Irish, Scottish, Italian, Spanish – wherever you are in the world I think you will all appreciate that one of the greatest, iconic women who’s ever lived this world left our planet yesterday. Lets hear it for Queen Elizabeth II!”
