Unsettling new footage obtained by The Post depicts the horrific moment a shooter in the Bronx fatally shot a 14-year-old kid, leaving smoke streaming from the gun’s barrel.
Around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday in Fordham Heights, the gunman, who is seen carrying a blue bag over his shoulder, is seen lurking behind a car outside of 2249 Morris Avenue before leaping out and opening fire on Prince Shabazz, 14, and his 15-year-old brother.
Prince, who is dressed in a white shirt, abruptly disappears from the scene as his sibling moves forward. The muzzle of the weapon is spewing smoke.
According to police sources, the gunshot that murdered Shabazz was a targeted attack that may have been related to a drill rap argument. His brother sustained no harm.
After the murder, the gunmen can be seen running past the camera while donning hoodies and masks on surveillance footage that was taken from a nearby store.
The shooter pursues the teens as they turn around and attempt to flee down the block while firing erratically.
“My son was smart, charismatic, loved, and all he cared about is looking good,” the teen’s heartbroken mother said.
“He cared about looks, he cared about girls, he cared about clothes and looking good,” she added. “Anybody who met him, he’ll just charm you.”
