Jia Jingdong, vice president and general manager of product strategy, teased the X90s on Thursday. The new smartphone shares a design with the Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro, which are its siblings in the X90 series. A triple rear camera unit with Zeiss tuning is displayed on the Vivo X90s. The primary features of the Vivo X90 are anticipated to remain in the upcoming model. In the meantime, Chinese tipsters have revealed the upcoming phone’s specifications. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC is said to power the Vivo X90s, which could come in four different color options.
On the Chinese microblogging website, Jia Jingdong shared a picture of the Vivo X90s, giving us a look at the back of the device. In the rendering, the phone has rounded corners and a white finish. The image suggests a rear panel with three Zeiss-branded rear cameras and an LED flash. It appears to have a glass back, and the bottom bears the Vivo logo.
However, Vivo declined to confirm the precise launch date or important details of the Vivo X90s.
Separately, a number of Chinese tipsters shared the upcoming Vivo X90s’ specifications. The newest MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC will power the device, according to the tipsters. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC found in the standard Vivo X90 would be replaced by this. According to reports, the new model will support Wi-Fi 7 and may come in the colors black, blue, green, red, and white. In contrast, the Vivo X90 has Wi-Fi 6 and is offered in China in China Red, Ice Blue, and Original Black (translated from Chinese).
The Vivo X90s’ specifications were made known by a TENAA listing in May. It will have a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,280 x 2,800 pixels) curved AMOLED display, according to the listing. The top of the screen has a hole-punch cutout that is centered. It is specified to have up to 1TB of internal storage and up to 16GB of RAM.
