Vivo is expected to expand its T-series of smartphones with the Vivo T2 5G series. The series is expected to be launched in India soon by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The Vivo T2 5G and Vivo T2x 5G is expected to be part of the lineup. These alleged handsets will presumably improve on their predecessor, the Vivo T1 5G, which was released in 2022. The handset’s specifications and alleged launch date have previously leaked online. A new report, however, suggests some additional key specifications of the upcoming smartphones.
The Vivo T2 series, which includes the Vivo T2 5G and the Vivo T2x 5G, will only be sold through Flipkart, according to a report by MySmartPrice. The AMOLED display in the base Vivo T2 is anticipated to have a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. A 64-megapixel primary lens with optical image stabilization (OIS) support is reportedly included in this model. The Vivo T2x, according to the report, will be the brand’s most affordable smartphone when it debuts in India.
According to reports, the Vivo T2 5G will be available in two storage configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The Vivo T2x 5G, on the other hand, is expected to be available in three storage configurations: 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB.
According to another recent report, the Vivo T2 series will be released in India in April and will be priced under $244. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC is expected to power the Vivo T2 5G, while the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset is expected to power the Vivo T2x 5G. Both handsets will be powered by Android 13 and feature full-HD+ displays.
In February 2022, the Snapdragon 695-powered Vivo T1 5G with three storage options made its debut in India. Priced at $194.68 for the 4GB + 128GB model, $206.86 for the 6GB + 128GB model, and $243.38 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The device runs Android 12-based FunTouch OS 12 and has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It comes in Rainbow Fantasy and Starlight Black color options.
