The launch date for the Vivo S17 series, which includes the Vivo S17 and Vivo 17 Pro, has reportedly been disclosed by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. Before the devices’ release in China the following week, their design has also been hinted at. The company’s recently released Vivo S17e is currently available for purchase on the Vivo China website. According to a poster shared by a Weibo user, the Vivo S17 will go on sale on May 31. The poster also provides a sneak peek at the upcoming phone’s appearance. It is shown to have an LED flash and a dual rear camera setup housed in a rectangular camera module. The phone’s back panel will also bear the Vivo logo. Other information about the phone, such as its features and cost, has not yet been officially released by Vivo.
The premium Vivo S17 Pro has previously had information about it leaked online. A 50-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX766V primary sensor and support for optical image stabilization is expected to be featured on the phone, which is predicted to succeed the Vivo 16 Pro. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, which is said to have eight cores, is said to power the device. It is predicted to support wired 80W charging as well.
The Vivo S17e has already been released in China, where the base 8GB + 128GB storage option costs CNY 2,099. The phone is also offered in RAM and storage configurations of 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB. It can be bought from the Vivo China e-store. The phone has a 6.78-inch (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) 120Hz refresh AMOLED display.
