The Vivo S17 series will launch on May 31. The standard vivo S17 and vivo S17 Pro are anticipated to be part of the series. Vivo S17 recently showed up on Geekbench, revealing few details. The more powerful model is anticipated to have a Dimensity 8200 chipset, while the entry-level model will have a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, according to the most recent reports.
The vivo S17 is the actual name of the device that appeared as the vivo V2283A on Geekbensh. It was identified as having a “lahaina” chipset, which is the Snapdragon 888 series’ codename. But since the CPU combination is different and the GPU is an Adreno 642L, we can be certain that it is the 778G+. The listing also revealed that the upcoming low-cost series’ base model will come with a 12GB RAM option. Additionally, it will come pre-installed with Android 13.
The Vivo S17 Pro camera’s official Weibo page also posted some information in the interim. It was revealed that the smartphone will have an LED flash with temperature-programmable lighting. Two front-facing flashes will also be included, and they will be located in the top bezel.
A 50 MP sensor will be used by the front-facing selfie camera, and a 2x telephoto zoom is anticipated for the portrait camera on the back. Additionally, a “super-sensing spectral sensor” will be included, which will improve color rendition; the company did not provide further information on this technology. With just two days left until its launch, we will finally learn what this mid-ranger has to offer. Remain tuned.
