On Wednesday, the Vivo S17 series was introduced in China. The Vivo S17, Vivo S17t and Vivo S17 Pro are available in the lineup. These models are available alongside the Vivo S17e, which was unveiled in March of this year. The recently released phones have 6.78-inch full-HD AMOLED screens and 4,600mAh batteries with support for 80W wired flash charging. Three color options and three storage options are available for each model. The 50-megapixel front camera sensors that each phone in the series has are its distinguishing feature.

Price and Availability:
There are three storage options for both the standard Vivo S17 and the Vivo S17t models. The two phones’ entry-level 8GB + 256GB models cost CNY 2,499, while the mid-range 12GB + 256GB models cost CNY 2,799, and the top-tier 12GB + 512GB models cost CNY 2,999. The color options for these two phones are Black, Mountain Sea Green, and Sea of Flowers. On the website for Vivo China, they are for sale.
The Vivo S17 Pro is currently offered in the colors Black, Ice White Jade, and Mountain Sea Green. Priced at CNY 3,099 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, CNY 3,299 and CNY 3,499 for the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants, respectively. The company’s Chinese website also offers this for sale.

Display and Processor:
The 6.78-inch full-HD+ (2800 x 1260 pixels) AMOLED screens on the Vivo S17, S17t, and S17 Pro models have a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphones that support dual nano SIMs boot Android 13 out of the box with OriginOS 3 on top.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset powers the Vivo S17t, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC powers the Vivo S17 in its base configuration. In the meantime, the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC is found inside the Vivo S17 Pro. The chipsets can support up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Cameras:
The Vivo S17 series phones’ 50-megapixel front cameras are housed in a center-aligned punch-hole slot at the top of the display for optical reasons. A dual rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens is available on the Vivo S17 and Vivo S17t models.
In contrast, the Vivo S17 Pro’s triple rear camera system consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support, a 12-megapixel sensor with a telephoto portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens. All of the handsets’ rear camera modules also have an LED flash panel and a ring light.
Battery and Charging:
Each of the three phones has a 4,600mAh battery and supports 80W wired flash charging.
Dimensions and Weight:
The Vivo S17 and Vivo S17t weigh 186 grams and have dimensions of 164.18mm x 74.37mm x 7.46mm, whereas the Vivo S17 Pro weighs 188 grams and has the same dimensions.
Features:
The smartphones have an audio jack and a USB Type-C charging port. The phones have side-mounted fingerprint sensors and AI face unlock capabilities for security. Additionally, the phones have connectivity for WiFi 6, GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth v5.2.
