Ushna Shah, a Pakistani actor, recently married golfer Hamza Amin. Ushna wore a beautiful red lehenga designed by Pakistani brand Warda Saleem in the couple’s wedding photos and videos, which have gone viral on social media. However, some social media users chastised the actor for wearing a red lehenga to her wedding, and some objected to her dancing during the festivities, causing controversy. Netizens believed that the actress was promoting Indian culture at a Pakistani wedding, which they would not tolerate.
Netizens criticized her on twitter. One user wrote, “They are fooling people by promoting Indian culture in the name of Pakistani culture. We shouldn’t tolerate it as it spoils our own culture, traditional values and religious values as well.” Another user wrote, “i didn’t say anything like that k she should wear burqa wagera but the point is that it’s not our culture and as a Muslim we have some predetermined boundaries or limits so we should follow them.”

You weren’t invited, and you didn’t pay for my shade of red. My jewellery and jora are entirely Pakistani. My heart, on the other hand, is half Austrian. Aameen, Allah Humein khush rakhey (Beigaani shaadi mein uninvited photographers ghuss gaye, unko salaam.)
