According to a report, the US State Department is providing a $500,000 grant to help Pakistani students who identify as transgender develop their English language skills.
Young Pakistanis who receive the grant will be better able to participate in the global community and get ready for successful careers in the future. For English language instructors from non-mainstream institutions, inexperienced English language instructors in Pakistan, transgender youth, as well as Afghan educators, students, and young professionals residing in Pakistan, it will offer professional development courses.
In order to implement professional development courses for Pakistani transgender youth aged 13 to 25, as well as Afghan teachers, students, and young professionals residing in Pakistan, the program has a specific component devoted to transgender youth, accepting proposals ranging from $25,000 to $75,000.
The grant’s objectives are to improve trainees’ English language communication abilities and link them to a network of accomplished alumni.
