United Auto Industries has hiked the price of the United bike by Rs. 11,000 after Atlas Honda’s yesterday. The company stated in a notification that the recently implemented General Sales Tax (GST) and increased raw material charges were to blame for the rise in production costs. The company is raising the pricing of all of its motorcycles right now since it is getting harder for it to maintain the present levels.

Terms and Conditions

- All bookings sent to the company from February 16, 2023, will be on the new rates.
The question could be directed at bikes that are currently on sale or being made, even though the manufacturer has disclosed the justifications for raising the prices. Why is the business charging these motorcycles with the GST? They must have been produced using the previous raw material prices. In spite of claims of complete localization, it has become common practise in the local market, particularly among bike makers, to raise prices repeatedly. In spite of making the motorcycles at old rates, it appears that they are merely seeking to maximise their revenue from the customers.
Atlas Honda raised the price of the Honda CG 125 yesterday, pushing it beyond Rs. 200,000. Suzuki and Yamaha are almost certain to follow shortly after.
