Lahore and other areas of Pakistan were hit by the pre-monsoon rain earlier today. While the weather in the capital of Punjab has significantly improved, the aftereffects include roads turning into puddles and underpasses becoming swimming pools.
As a result, there are significant traffic jams present in a number of important locations throughout the city. Rush hour traffic is severely inconveniencing the working class, who are instead busy enjoying themselves by dipping themselves in the stagnant rainwater, prompting them to express their displeasure on social media.

The newly built Kalma Chowk Underpass can be seen drowning in rainwater in a Twitter video. Additionally, it depicts a number of riders pushing their motorcycles through the Kalma “ravine.” Those who attempted to drive through the flooded underpass in their vehicles are now stranded.
For any potential emergency, the district administration, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), and other departments are on high alert. According to WASA MD, drainage is being accelerated and all disposal facilities are running at full capacity to reduce traffic jams.
