The procedures that applicants must follow on the ICP app or website to finish the renewal and issuance process are listed below:
- Create a UAE Pass account or, if you already have one, sign in to the smart services.
- Select the service for issuing an Emirates ID and a residence permit.
- Send in the application, check and improve the information, and pay the fees.
- Your Emirates ID will be delivered by a licensed courier.
It is important to note that, with the UAE government’s approval, the Emirates ID serves as a residency permit, and you may use it as a substitute for obtaining a residency visa for your passport.
When renewing their Emirates ID, applicants are required by the ICP to provide current and accurate information.
The following information must be accurately entered by applicants during the process:
- Emirates ID number and expiry date.
- Data on the digital application form.
- Contact information for you, including your email address and delivery method.
ICP will review and validate the data after the applicant enters it in accordance with the process requirements.
