The agreement that would allow Pakistani prisoners in the UAE to serve some of their sentences in Pakistan is being worked on, according to Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, who made the announcement during a meeting with the Pakistani Journalist Forum.
The Pakistani community has been requesting this for a while, and the ambassador is optimistic that it will happen soon.

The second-largest Pakistani community outside of Pakistan, the UAE is home to about 1.7 million Pakistanis. Strong political, cultural, and economic ties exist between the two nations.
The media delegation was informed by Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi of the Pakistan Embassy’s initiatives for community welfare in the United Arab Emirates. The media delegation talked about issues like promoting a favorable perception of Pakistan, highlighting the contributions of the community, and offering suggestions for community welfare.
The ambassador also praised the media in the UAE for their part in promoting Pakistan’s favorable image. He urged them to highlight Pakistani success stories, cuisine, culture, and sports.
