After three months of unpaid rent, a judge has ordered Twitter to leave its Boulder office. Since Elon Musk took over, the business has struggled, with reports of unpaid bills and a decline in operations.
A letter of credit worth $968,000 had been used by the tenant, Lot 2 SBO LLC, to pay the rent. However, the money ran out in March. Before the end of July, the eviction is expected to occur. About 300 people used to work in the Boulder office, but there are probably fewer now as a result of layoffs, firings, and resignations.
A different cleaning company is suing Twitter for $93,504 in unpaid fees in addition to the eviction case. The business has not offered any comments on these issues.
