A New Jersey State Police trooper from South Jersey has been missing since March 19 after walking away from a Pennsylvania health facility.
According to New Jersey State Police, Jason Dare, 46, of Cumberland County, was last seen walking away from the facility in Media, Pennsylvania, at approximately 6:51 p.m. that day.
The New Jersey State Police and the Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Dare, who is considered missing and endangered.
Dare is considered endangered by neither agency. It was unclear why he was at the medical facility or why he left.
Dare was seen leaving the facility on foot, wearing a black Carhart jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and eyeglasses. He is 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with tattoos on his neck, arms, and hands.
He was last seen near the intersection of Route 352 and Yearsley Mill Road in Middle Township, Delaware County, near the Penn State Brandywine Campus. Dare has not been seen or in contact with anyone since then, according to state police.
Jason Dare, a Vineland resident, has worked in law enforcement for many years. Dare, 46, began his career with the state police in 2004, according to his LinkedIn page.
