TRIBUTES have poured in for a “beautiful” grandmother who was killed by a gang of “out of control” dogs, according to reports.
Following the incident involving five American bulldogs on Monday, Ann Dunn, 65, passed away at her house in the Vauxhall neighbourhood of Liverpool.
A 31-year-old man was detained, according to a Merseyside Police spokesman, and the five dogs that were housed there were put to death.
On the day of the attack, neighbours claimed to have overheard a woman screaming at around 4 o’clock.
An anonymous neighbour led tributes to the “beautiful” grandmother who worked as a cleaner.
They told The Mirror: “She was lovely, really funny, such a happy girl. She had not long ago been on holiday with her daughter.
“I used to see her walking to work, no matter the weather, come rain or shine she’d always walk down and never missed a day.”
Another added: “She always used to stop and chat and she was always smiling.”
Neighbors reported seeing people gathered in the street talking on phones after the attack.
The North West Ambulance Service called the police to the home on St. Brigid’s Crescent at 4:25 p.m.
