Two “beautiful” teenage girls have received tributes after a sad vehicle accident in Cheshire.
Following a collision on Sunday in the Disley neighbourhood, Manchester residents Mariah Hussein, 16, and Kiara O’Lisa, 13, both lost their lives.
At around 3.15 in the morning, reports of a collision between a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a red Ford Fiesta led police to Buxton Road West.
Mariah and Kiara, two Vauxhall Corsa passengers, tragically passed away right there on the scene.
A 14-year-old kid and a 21-year-old lady who were also passengers were sent to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old Cheadle male who was driving the Vauxhall Corsa was detained on suspicion of causing death through dangerous driving.
According to a Cheshire Police spokesman, he was released on bail awaiting additional investigations.
The 20-year-old Ford Fiesta driver was transported to the hospital for additional evaluation after suffering minor injuries.
It is thought that her wounds are not life-threatening.
Mariah’s family released a heartbreaking statement today in which they said: “Mariah was a beautiful young girl full of life. She had so much to live for. We can’t even begin to express how heartbroken we are as her parents losing our precious baby.
“As mother and father we are shattered and feel helpless but pray that our beautiful girl is at peace and have no choice but to accept this was the will of God.
“Mummy and daddy love you Mariah until we meet again my princess.”
