A “beautiful” woman who was discovered dead in a Market Weighton apartment is receiving tributes.
The 59-year-old has been identified by police as Helen Harrison.
After Helen’s death was discovered earlier this month, police immediately opened a murder investigation.
She knew a 39-year-old man who was promptly taken into custody.
“A woman who was found deceased at a property in Market Weighton on Sunday, March 5, has been named by her family as Helen Harrison, aged 59,” Humberside Police said in a statement today.
In the current outpouring of condolences for Helen, one person wrote: “RIP my beautiful friend.. miss you.”
“Rip thank you for being my friend. I will never forget all the wonderful memories. Thank you Helen x,” was another message.
Police were called to a property on Aspen Close, in Market Weighton, Yorkshire, just after 4pm on March 5.
According to police, a woman’s safety was the reason for the call-out.
Officers arrived on the scene quickly, but sadly discovered Helen’s body, prompting them to open a murder investigation.
A 39-year-old man was detained on murder suspicion and is still in custody.
