THE FAMILY OF A TEENAGER KILLED IN A TERRIBLE CRASH has paid homage to their “force of nature”.
Bethany McCauley, 18, was a passenger in a car when it crashed last month at 12.35 a.m. in Barham, on the outskirts of Ipswich.
On Saturday, April 29, a “single-vehicle road traffic collision” involving the blue Vauxhall Corsa.
According to police, the driver, a young girl, was brought to Ipswich Hospital with significant injuries and is still in a stable condition.
Bethany was described as a “bright light that lit up our lives” by her relatives.
They added: “She was loud and funny, yet at times quiet and happy in her own company.
“Thoughtful, generous, kind and determined are all words that come to mind when we think of her. Setting her mind to learning to drive and buying a car all of which she did by herself.”
The caregiver, who was dedicated to her dog Stomper, worked at Park View senior care facility and was named “favourite domestic” by the residents.
“Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision,” said a spokeswoman for Suffolk Police.
“They would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area just prior to the incident and who has a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for anything that may be of assistance.”
